Starshot! implements a physics-based trajectory system where each bubble shot responds to gravitational pull fields scattered across 200+ handcrafted levels. Unlike traditional static shooters, your projectiles curve mid-flight when passing near gravity wells, requiring real-time angle adjustments and predictive aiming skills.
The core mechanic revolves around chain reaction multipliers: matching three bubbles triggers a cascade system that calculates adjacent color groups, applies gravity collapse physics, and awards exponential score bonuses. Strategic players exploit this by setting up multi-stage reactions that clear entire sections in a single shot.
Power-up integration happens through a cooldown-based system with five distinct abilities: Time Freeze halts all falling bubbles for 3 seconds, Gravity Reverse inverts field polarity, Rainbow Bubble matches any color, Explosive Shot clears a 5-bubble radius, and Precision Laser cuts straight through gravity distortion. Each power-up recharges based on successful chain reactions completed.
Real-time trajectory bending around gravitational wells creates dynamic aiming challenges. Each level introduces new field configurations requiring spatial reasoning and angle prediction to master curved shot paths.
Matching bubbles trigger cascading collapse sequences with exponential scoring multipliers. Strategic setups allow clearing 20+ bubbles in a single shot through carefully planned multi-stage reactions.
